Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 9T in Europe To Bring 5G To Masses & Rival Pixel 4A

Xiaomi finally launched its Redmi Note 9 5G’s rebranded version, the Redmite Note 9T, in Europe. The cheap 5G phone is now global in a real sense as it leaves South Asian markets and distributes in the west. The Redmi Note 9T manages to bring 5G connectivity to the masses, thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor. A massive 5,000mAh battery backs the device with 18W fast-charging. What’s more? The first few customers in Germany will be getting a discount of €30.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T 5G Price in Europe & Specs

Redmi Note 9T 5G

The Xiaomi Redmite Note 9T launches in two variants in Europe – the 4GB RAM+64GB storage model is priced at €229 (approx. $281) while the 4GB RAM+128GB storage model costs €269 ( approx. $330). These models come with 5G connectivity and are available in Nightfall Black and Daybreak Purple color options. Both the variants go on sale starting January 11, 2020.

The Redmi Note 9 5G has a 6.53-inch FHD+ LCD screen with external protection of Gorilla Glass 5. A MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor powers the phone with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. There is a 48MP+8MP+2MP triple camera setup on the rear and a 13MP selfie shooter on the front.

A big 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging backs the device. It’s worth noting that there is a 22.5W charger inside the box. Although the lack of a fast charger is quite repulsive, we can’t complain because the pricing does justice.

Connectivity-wise, the phone has got NFC support, dual stereo speakers, a fingerprint scanner, and more. The 5G connectivity is for both the SIM slots. Xiaomi touts that the Redmi Note 9T has several antennas, 4×4 MIMO that can run two 5G SIMs at once. Xiaomi also states that the Dimensity 800U and UFS 2.2 storage combination makes the Note 9T up to “100% faster” than the earlier models.

The phone also has Widevine L1 certification enabling users to stream content from Netflix and Prime Video in FHD resolution.
