Amazon Adds New Premium Models To Fire HD 10 Tablets Lineup

Amazon is one of the few big players that have created a niche in the tablet segment of consumer electronics. The company has a dedicated lineup of Fire tablets, and it has now added premium models to its existing Fire HD 10 and Fire Kids tablets. The new additions add more quality to the devices and make them more pleasing to budget buyers who want premium design and features.

Better Designs & Premium Features On New Fire HD 10 Tablets

The new versions of Fire HD 10 and Fire HD 10 Plus tablets are more premium. The latest Fire HD 10 is priced at $149, while the Fire HD 10 Plus is priced at $179.

Both the new versions of tablets have a 10-inch 1080p display that’s brighter and integrated into a sleek body. The standard variant now comes with 3GB of RAM (better than the previous-gen), while the Plus variant gets 4GB of RAM. Amazon has added a premium feel to the body, and both devices also pack support for wireless charging via Qi pads like an Anker dock.

Users who want to use the latest versions as a laptop alternative can also choose the Fire HD 10 Productivity Bundles. The productivity bundle includes a Fintie detachable keyboard case along with free annual membership of Microsoft 365. To support desktop-like functionality, Amazon’s Fire OS now supports a split-screen that can help amplify productivity and multitasking.

Under the hood, these Fire tablets come powered by 2GHz octa-core chipsets, 64GB internal storage, and a 2MP selfie camera. They also feature Dolby Atmos audio for a better multimedia experience. The battery is touted to deliver up to a 12-hour backup.

Fire HD 10 Kids Pro With Added Features

Fire HD Kids Pro

The latest Kids edition Fire HD 10 tablet is named Fire HD 10 Kids Pro. It comes with a new thin case and features like an “open but filtered” web browser, an app store, and a “grown-up” UI that matches other tablets in the Fire lineup.

It is aimed at children between the ages of 6 to 12. Amazon has included a two-year extended warranty with this one and an annual Kids+ subscription that offers games, ebooks, and more. The new Fire HD 10 Kids is priced at $199. It comes with a kid-proof” case, extended warranty, and a Kids+ subscription.

All the new Fire tablets are now up for pre-ordering but will start to ship starting May 26, 2021. Among all the new additions, we think that the Fire HD 10 Plus makes for a good pick for budget buyers who want premium features and a sleek design.
