OnePlus Nord N1 5G Could Be The Next Budget Android Smartphone

OnePlus’s re-entry into the budget segment had a sliver lining last year with the OnePlus Nord. The company made some solid impact with the performance-driven Nord phones – Nord N10 5G and Nord N100 5G. And now it seems like a successor is in works, dubbed the Nord N1 5G.

A report coming from a tipster named Max Jambor states that the OnePlus Nord N1 5G is going to be a rightful successor to the Nord N10 5G. As of now, there’s not much information concerning Nord N1’s specifications or its probable launch date. However, one can expect that the company may stick to similar timelines like its previous Nord phones i.e., the second half of the year.

Although we might have to wait until the second half of the year for the next Nord phone, the company would be coming up with its flagships before that. Yes, the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro shall bless the market by next month. And this time, we will also get a lighter variant – the OnePlus 9 Lite.

Will the Nord N1 5G Match Up Its Predecessor?

While we wait for the Nord N1 5G, it’s time to brush up on what the Nord N10 5G offered us.

The Nord N10 5G debuted with a 6.49-inch full-HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone had Snapdragon 690 5G SoC powering it with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage under the hood.

The Nord N10 5G offered a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary lens, an ultra-wide secondary sensor, and monochrome shooters for optics. There was a 16MP selfie snapper on the front. A 4,000mAh battery backed the phone with support for Warp Charge 30T fast charging technology. It had a fingerprint sensor on the rear and dual stereo speakers at the bottom.

Since the Nord N1 5G is a successor to the Nord N10 5G, it would be interesting to see how OnePlus beef up the specifications and throws in extended features to make it an attractive buy.
