Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite has just gone international. The budget wearable will now be available globally. The Mi Watch is a rebranded Redmi Watch that was first launched in China a few weeks back.
The smartwatch has now gone live on Xiaomi’s global website and is listed in Blue, Black, Navy Blue, Pink, Ivory, and Olive strap options. Due to its design and shape, the smartwatch has been hailed as a cheap alternative for Apple Watch. And by cheap, we mean super cheap!
Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite Price in Europe & Specifications
The Mi Watch will cost €49.90 (~$61) in the EU and be up for purchase starting December 22, 2020. The company is reportedly not planning to bring the budget smartwatch to the US markets anytime soon.
The Mi Watch is a cheap knockoff of the Apple Watch, just like some amazing budget fake AirPods on the market. It even has the same exercise tracking feature as Rings on Apple Watch. With the Mi Watch, you get a design that hits real close to Apple’s premium watch with some solid fitness features. We can’t say the same about the quality, yet to test it.
The budget wearable comes with a 1.4-inch (320×320 pixels) square LCD screen with adaptive brightness. It sports a 230mAh battery that promises a backup of up to 9 days on moderate usage and up to 10 hours on use with GPS sports mode activated. Concerning display options, the wearable comes with over 120 watch faces available. The company plans on adding more in the future via updates.
Android users will have to install the Xiaomi Wear app to set up and connect the watch with their Android phone. Apple users will have to install the Xiaomi Wear Lite app to pair it with their devices.
Sensors on the Mi Watch Lite include an optical heart rate sensor, six-axis sensor, L-sensor, Barometer, compass, and GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS. The watch measures 41x35x10.9mm and weighs 35 grams with a strap.
Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite Features
The watch aims to please users who desire a host of fitness features and modes like cycling, running, walking, swimming sports, trekking, and other outdoor/indoor activities.
The Mi Watch Lite also has 5ATM water resistance that enables it to work while submerged in up to 50 meters of water. Health tracking features on the smartwatch include heart rate and sleep monitoring and exercises for guided breathing.
Other features on the watch include notifications for chat and call, weather info, flashlight functionality, and music controls. It also sports a feature called ‘idle alert’ that alerts users when they have been in a sedentary position for a long time.
This idle alert feature could come in handy for working professionals who have to sit in the same position for hours; the alert can help them integrate some movement into their lifestyle.
